Sr. Strategic Finance Manager

About the role

This position will be instrumental in guiding Rula's expansion by partnering with our Health Plans and Partnerships divisions. You will shape growth strategies, assess financial trade-offs, and drive key decisions through rigorous analysis of unit economics, financial modeling, and data interpretation within the healthcare services sector.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and growth initiatives.
• Analyze complex datasets to provide clear, actionable financial insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate strategic options and ensure operational alignment.
• Build and manage top-line forecasts using scenario-based planning.
• Translate financial performance and projections into understandable terms for non-finance colleagues.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic finance, business operations, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or similar fields.
• Proven ability to influence growth or go-to-market strategies through quantitative financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of core unit economics metrics such as Lifetime Value (LTV), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), payback periods, and cohort analysis.
• Experience constructing and managing scenario-based revenue forecasts.
• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, with experience in building detailed financial models using complex data sources (e.g., SQL, BI tools, advanced analytics platforms).
• Capacity to communicate intricate financial concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
• Experience working collaboratively across departments to assess choices, test strategic hypotheses, and foster accountability.

• Prior experience in healthcare services or marketplace business models.
• Background in a rapidly growing or scaling company environment.
• Previous work in investment banking, private equity, or consulting.
• Experience working closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Analytics teams.

Practical notes

• This is a fully remote position, requiring candidates to be based in the United States. Rula is not currently hiring in Hawaii.
