About the role
We are seeking a Senior User Researcher II to enhance our research team at Rubrik. This position focuses on conducting impactful user research that informs our design processes and product development. You will play a vital role in understanding user needs and translating insights into actionable recommendations.

What you'll do
- Lead comprehensive user research initiatives, including defining objectives, selecting methodologies, and executing studies to gain a thorough understanding of customer requirements.
- Collaborate closely with product design and development teams to establish a strategic research roadmap, ensuring alignment with project priorities.
- Analyze research findings and convert them into clear, actionable insights that guide product design and development.
- Independently manage the research process, from participant recruitment to analysis, while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Integrate artificial intelligence into research workflows, utilizing AI tools to enhance data analysis and decision-making processes.
Requirements
- A degree (B.A., B.S., M.S., Ph.D.) in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a UX research role.
- Over 7 years of experience in conducting user-centered research.
- Comprehensive knowledge of research methodologies, including study design, participant recruitment, moderation, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of user interface design and usability evaluation techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with enterprise or B2B software is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn new technical concepts is crucial.
- A collaborative mindset, with experience working in diverse, cross-functional teams across different time zones.
- Ability to contribute to strategic discussions through research insights.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI tools and methodologies in user research.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in research and analytical tools for usability testing and data synthesis.
- Familiarity with user interface design principles and usability testing frameworks.
Practical notes
