Social Media Manager

About the role

Roku is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead the social presence for This Old House as the team transitions to an in-house operation. You will manage content strategy, production, and audience growth across more than 40 accounts for This Old House, Ask This Old House, and related franchises.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Develop and execute social media strategies to increase audience size, engagement, and video views.
• Publish content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and other emerging platforms.
• Maintain the social calendar and coordinate scheduling across multiple brand and talent profiles.
• Participate in production meetings and on-set shoots to capture social-first content.
• Partner with an editor to produce platform-specific short-form video.
• Optimize content based on performance data and platform trends.
• Support affiliate and commerce initiatives through social promotion.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on paid social campaigns and performance optimization.
• Manage community engagement by monitoring comments and direct messages.
• Track and report on key performance metrics to guide future content decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in content creation, social media marketing, or digital media.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workflows, calendars, and deadlines.
• Experience working in entertainment, media, or production-heavy environments.
• Familiarity with paid social execution and ad optimization.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in the office Monday through Thursday, with remote work available on Fridays.

Skills & tools

• Proficiency with social media analytics tools such as Sprout, Google Analytics, and native platform insights.
• Expertise in short-form video storytelling and platform-specific content optimization.

Practical notes

• Salary range: $110,000 to $117,000 annually plus equity.
