About the role
You design, tweak, and optimize the player experience with a specific focus on accessibility and inclusion. Your analytical skills, player insight, and creativity aid in crafting in- and out-of-game experiences that engage and surprise players while meeting the highest standards of usability. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and work with every tool at hand to innovate and iterate player-focused designs that'll delight millions around the world. You function as a part of the Central Product Accessibility team and drive and facilitate accessible and inclusive design through proactive leadership.

What you'll do
Champion accessible design rules guiding architects and builders across all product lines.
Draft precise requirements ensuring titles remain compliant across games and web properties for consistent implementation.
Conduct audits revealing friction points within prototypes and live builds to identify specific improvement areas.
Translate research findings into clear recommendations for multidisciplinary crews to ensure alignment and understanding.
Orchestrate testing for photosensitive risks and train internal staff on methodologies and best practices.
Elevate processes by removing barriers to inclusive player experiences through systematic improvements.
Maintain living documentation serving as a reference for design standards and evolving accessibility practices.
Forge roadmaps aligning strategy, timelines, and accessibility priorities to guide long-term initiatives.
Work with UX researchers to identify and gather data around features impacting accessibility and usability.
Use data insights and user feedback to make actionable recommendations to product teams for iterative enhancements.
Create Accessibility personas and user stories to humanize diverse needs and guide design decisions effectively.
Triage and prioritize accessibility issues and provide guidance for product teams on how these issues can be remediated efficiently.
Train and educate product teams on accessibility requirements to build organizational capability and awareness.
Audit games and web applications for compliance with best practices and accessibility standards to ensure quality.
Keep up to date with current changes and trends in game, web, application, and software accessibility to maintain relevance.
Manage the photosensitive epilepsy flash rate testing process and training to safeguard player well-being.
Propose improvements to existing processes and features in order to increase usability in our products for all players.
Requirements
You hold five or more years shaping digital experiences as a designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating your work.
You bring three or more years focused work in accessibility practices and principles with documented case studies.
You grasp core game technologies like Unity and Unreal inside interaction patterns to evaluate technical feasibility.
You handle UI development using CSS, HTML, XML, and related interface languages to implement accessible interfaces.
You wield prototyping tools such as Figma or Sketch to iterate concepts rapidly and communicate design intent.
You navigate keyboards and assistive tools like JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver daily to understand real-world usage.
You operate flash-rate measurement tools such as Harding and PEAT routinely to ensure compliance and safety.
You interpret WCAG, WAI-ARIA, and Section 508 standards advising product teams on regulatory compliance.
Possess empathy for our diverse user and player base, a deep understanding of user-centered design, and strong analytical abilities to solve complex problems.
Ability to partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve product goals and shared objectives.
Ability to translate end-user feedback into actionable items that drive meaningful improvements in player experience.
Ability to deliver training to product teams in a clear, engaging, and practical manner to foster skill development.
Experience using task and ticket management tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence etc) to track progress and maintain organization.
Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate efforts and articulate design rationale effectively.
Nice to have
Experience designing interfaces across various platforms (i.e. mobile, PC, console, etc.) with a strong understanding of interaction modalities across phone, controller, keyboard, and mouse.
Experience with accessible product, game and web design demonstrating successful implementations and positive user outcomes.
