Engineering Manager, RC Capital

About the role

RevenueCat is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the RC Capital team, a new business line focused on financial products. This role involves building and supporting infrastructure for early payouts, risk monitoring, money movement, bank integrations, and fraud detection. You will combine deep technical leadership with direct exposure to fintech and regulated financial services.

What you'll do

• Build and lead a highly engaged, distributed engineering team through hiring, support, and coaching.
• Collaborate with product, design, and support teams to define team direction and plan for strategic challenges.
• Guide the team in iterative roadmap execution and establish efficient delivery processes.
• Mentor engineers to foster their professional development.
• Partner with other engineering managers to improve organizational practices and cultivate ownership and inclusivity.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally to develop prioritized roadmaps.
• Ability to balance new feature development, technical debt management, and system improvements.
• Hands-on capability for code reviews and bug investigation.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data analysis and inconsistency detection.
• Experience guiding teams to consistently deliver valuable, high-quality software through iterative cycles.
• Track record of improving product quality to meet requirements, customer needs, and SLAs.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, guiding engineers through important technical decisions.
• Experience coaching engineers at various levels in their career development.
• A background in fintech, financial services, or a similar regulated/risk-sensitive domain is essential.
