Senior Frontend Engineer

About the role

Researchgate connects over 25 million scientists across 193 countries to help them share and advance their research. You will join our product team to build and refine the interfaces used by publishers to engage with the global scientific community.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Develop web interfaces for new features using React and TypeScript.
• Connect frontend components to backend systems using PHP and GraphQL.
• Update and optimize current features and their underlying infrastructure.
• Partner with designers, product managers, and engineers to build tools for publishers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend web development with TypeScript, React, and CSS.
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Experience working with GraphQL.
• Proficiency in using AI-assisted development tools with strong engineering judgment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Strong communication skills suitable for a distributed work environment.
• A focus on creating user-centric interfaces for complex data.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with relational or document-based databases, specifically Postgres or MongoDB.

Practical notes

The interview process includes an initial call with HR or an Engineering Manager, followed by a technical discussion regarding your professional background.
