This role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from initial planning to ongoing support for various applications. You will ensure products meet industry standards by tracking and implementing regulatory and market changes. This position requires a strong understanding of brokerage settlement processing.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead activities related to product development and support.
- Direct new product launches for your assigned area.
- Provide troubleshooting and answer questions about applications and related issues.
- Diagnose problems and ensure their resolution.
- Manage products throughout the software development lifecycle, including planning and implementation.
- Coordinate approvals with internal and external parties to meet implementation timelines.
- Offer expertise on business and internal processes for supported products.
- Deliver internal and external application training as needed.
- Create user guides, use cases, workflows, testing plans, release notes, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Help plan and coordinate client and working group meetings.
- Provide off-hours or weekend coverage when necessary, and be available 24/7 for emergencies.
- Maintain the product roadmap, including creation, execution, go-to-market strategy, and adoption.
- Develop requirements for billable enhancements.
- Participate in special projects and inter-departmental assignments.
- Support sales activities, including responding to RFPs/RFIs, presentations, demos, and webinars.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Business Administration.
- 8+ years of product management experience.
- Knowledge of the US or Canadian Brokerage business.
- Familiarity with compliance, project management, and risk practices.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Capable of planning, organizing, and prioritizing work effectively.
- Ability to multitask and be self-motivated.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
