Data Scientist (Remote -Virtual)
About the role
This role focuses on applying advanced analytical techniques to solve complex supply chain challenges. You will contribute to the development and deployment of artificial intelligence and machine learning models within a production environment. Your work will directly inform business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and automate data preparation processes.
- Contribute to establishing data science standards and best practices for the team.
- Collaborate with senior team members on analyses, code reviews, and presenting findings.
- Build and deploy AI/ML models using Python and relevant libraries.
- Communicate analytical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide guidance to junior data scientists on assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, operations research, computer science, or information systems.
- Three years of professional experience in data science.
- Strong communication abilities, adaptable to different audiences.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with limited oversight.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate understanding of statistical modeling and supervised/unsupervised machine learning techniques, including optimization, regression, tree models, survival analysis, cluster analysis, forecasting, anomaly detection, and association rules.
- Experience developing and deploying AI/ML models using Python libraries.
- Intermediate skills in data ETL using SQL and Python, with experience in scaling and automating data preparation.
- Intermediate experience with programming languages and platforms like Python, R, and MATLAB.
- Introductory experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- You must be eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsorship (e.g., OPT, F-1, H-1B).

- Specific skills in Transportation, Routing, & Logistics or Supply Chain Replenishment Analytics & Inventory Optimization.

- Compensation ranges:
- Colorado: $83,400.00 - $111,200.00
- New York: $92,800.00 - $123,800.00
- California and Washington: $88,200.00 - $117,600.00
- This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus.

- Up to 10% travel may be required.
