Intermediate Backend Developer

This role involves building and maintaining core parts of our platform. You will work on the backend systems, contributing to the entire development process from initial ideas to final delivery. This position is a great chance to grow your technical skills and prepare for more advanced roles.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Create and update backend application parts, including FHIR operations, using Java and our standard technologies.
• Develop and support our product, focusing on its reliability, performance, and ease of maintenance.
• Review code, follow team coding standards, and help improve our development methods.
• Analyze project needs and suggest technical approaches during development.
• Build and refine proof-of-concept integrations.
• Investigate and fix issues reported by users or found during testing.
• Research new technologies and share your findings with the team.
• Produce and update technical documents.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• At least 4 years of experience in backend development.
• Strong command of Java and Spring, with practical knowledge of REST APIs, SQL, and Git.
• Experience in developing features from start to finish and applying unit testing.
• Ability to manage your own tasks while also working well with others.
• Comfort with unclear requirements and contributing to solving technical challenges.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Knowledge of or experience with HL7 or FHIR is beneficial.
• Experience with Apache Camel and building integration patterns for data exchange.
• Good analytical and communication abilities.
