Backend Developer - Fully Remote | Upto $85/hr

About the role

We are looking for an experienced engineer to help refine and test AI coding agents. You will work directly with advanced models to solve complex backend problems and provide feedback that improves their output quality.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Use AI coding tools to finish and test various engineering tasks.
• Audit code generated by AI for performance, maintainability, and accuracy.
• Find bugs, architectural flaws, and edge cases in model outputs.
• Benchmark different models against each other to determine their capabilities.
• Use your professional judgment to solve backend scenarios independently.
• Work asynchronously to hit deadlines and contribute to model training data.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Background in building microservices, distributed systems, databases, or backend platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents like Windsurf, Claude, or similar CLI tools.
• Ability to critique AI-generated code and spot technical tradeoffs.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining large-scale production systems.
