Backend Developer, Remote

About the role

We are looking for a backend developer to contribute to the core technology powering our virtual events platform. You will be instrumental in constructing and refining the systems that enable unique online experiences for our clients.

What you'll do

• Develop backend services and components using Node.js, integrating with Google Cloud Platform and Firebase.
• Design and implement database schemas for optimal performance and scalability.
• Build and maintain serverless functions and real-time data solutions.
• Collaborate on the architecture and technical specifications for new platform features.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience building secure, production-ready web applications with Node.js.
• Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform services, specifically Firebase Functions, Firestore, and Realtime Database.
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming models, state management, and data flow patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to manage your workload and communicate effectively in a remote setting.
• Capacity to work autonomously and drive projects to completion.

Nice to have

• Experience with multiplayer or real-time interactive systems.
