What you'll do
- Establish the technical standards by developing code that is well-tested, reliable, and scalable, setting a benchmark for the team.
- Lead projects by breaking down features into manageable components for timely execution, while contributing to team-level strategic planning and system design discussions.
- Promote engineering excellence by adhering to best practices in security, reliability, and quality, actively addressing technical debt.
- Collaborate with various teams, including engineering, product management, and design, to achieve common goals while guiding peers in making informed decisions.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and proposals to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering within a collaborative environment, demonstrating proficiency as a fullstack developer across both frontend and backend systems.
- Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages relevant to specific technical areas (e.g., security, distributed systems, big data) and openness to learning new languages and frameworks.
- Proven experience in designing secure, scalable, and efficient software using cloud infrastructure, along with providing constructive feedback on technical designs.
- Experience leading team-level projects, including decomposing features into parallel development tasks and estimating delivery timelines.
- Background in mentoring developers through code reviews and retrospectives.
- Ability to articulate best practices related to error handling, observability, and operational excellence.
Compensation Details
The typical starting base salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $270,000. Employees in the U.S. are shareholders in the company, and equity is included in the overall compensation package.
