Senior Quality Inspector

About the role

You will perform critical inspections on Terran R hardware to ensure our launch vehicle meets strict engineering and process standards. This role involves working directly at our Cape Canaveral site to support the full lifecycle of rocket production, testing, and launch operations.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Execute in-process and final hardware inspections using CAD models, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Verify hardware compliance, determine pass or fail status, and manage documentation for nonconformances and deviations.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure adherence to company procedures and industry quality standards.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Test and Launch, and Hardware Responsible Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Analyze inspection data to support root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in quality inspection within aerospace, aviation, or regulated manufacturing.
• Proficiency in conducting in-process build inspections using precision measurement tools.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Capability to provide technical guidance based on established work instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long durations, and work in confined spaces or awkward positions.
• Flexibility to work weekends, night shifts, and travel as required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and data analysis.
• Experience in fast-paced aerospace startup environments.
• Familiarity with NX, Teamcenter, or Infor LN.
• Background in AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems or ERP software.
