Senior Global Supply Manager, Vehicle Structures

About the role

This role involves designing and scaling supply chains for complex vehicle components, working with various internal teams to achieve a competitive advantage. You will lead sourcing and supplier management for major vehicle structures, ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. This position requires both strategic planning and daily execution to support the Terran R program.

What you'll do

• Oversee sourcing and supplier relationships for key vehicle structures to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.
• Create and implement supply chain strategies, including selecting suppliers, establishing long-term agreements, and planning capacity for Terran R production schedules.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Planning to influence design for manufacturing and align procurement with program milestones.
• Improve supplier performance through risk management, contract negotiations, and tracking progress based on milestones.
• Guide and support other Global Supply Managers and Global Supply Specialists, building their knowledge in aerospace manufacturing and supplier development.
• Serve as a leader for structural commodities, continuously refining sourcing methods, supplier health, and program readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of professional experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement.
• Demonstrated background in managing suppliers for intricate aerospace or advanced manufacturing items.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage agreements based on milestones.
• Direct experience with ERP systems such as LN, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes like machining, forming, welding, and assembly.

Nice to have

• MBA or an advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering.
• Direct experience with aerospace structural commodities (e.g., domes, barrels, interstages, thrust structures).
• Familiarity with AS9100 and NADCAP standards, supplier qualifications, and audit procedures.
• Track record of improving supplier performance using KPIs, recovery plans, and long-term agreements.
• Strong grasp of aerospace raw materials (aluminum, titanium, Inconel, Cu-Ni-Sn alloys) and their processing methods.
• Supply chain experience in New Product Development (NPD) or New Product Introduction (NPI), ideally in aerospace or frontier technology.
• Proficiency in assessing supplier risk, cost modeling, and capacity planning.
