About the role
Relativity Space is developing the Terran R vehicle to provide orbital launch capacity and push the boundaries of space exploration. This role manages the supply chain for complex vehicle structures, balancing manufacturing requirements with program timelines to ensure the success of our launch vehicle.

What you'll do
- Direct sourcing and supplier management for primary vehicle structures to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.
- Create and implement supply chain strategies, including long-term agreements, supplier selection, and capacity planning for Terran R production.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and align procurement with program milestones.
- Manage supplier performance through contract negotiations, risk mitigation, and milestone tracking.
- Provide mentorship to Global Supply Managers and Global Supply Specialists regarding aerospace manufacturing and supplier development.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for structural commodities to improve sourcing processes and program readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 9+ years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.
- Background managing suppliers for advanced manufacturing or complex aerospace commodities.
- Experience negotiating contracts and milestone-based agreements.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, LN, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, including welding, forming, machining, and assembly.
Nice to have
- MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain.
- Experience with structural aerospace commodities like barrels, domes, thrust structures, or interstages.
- Understanding of NADCAP and AS9100 standards, including audit processes and supplier qualifications.
- Ability to improve supplier performance via KPIs, long-term agreements, and recovery plans.
- Familiarity with aerospace raw materials like titanium, aluminum, Cu-Ni-Sn alloys, and Inconel.
- Experience with New Product Introduction or Development in frontier tech or aerospace.
- Skills in cost modeling, supplier risk assessment, and capacity planning.
