About the role
Reframe Systems builds high-performance housing using automated microfactories and a vertically integrated model. This role bridges the gap between architectural design and factory production to ensure every modular building is constructible, efficient, and ready for field installation.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Assess building assemblies during design phases to ensure they align with factory automation capabilities and cost targets.
- Participate in design reviews to identify and resolve manufacturability issues before they impact production.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure digital models accurately represent physical construction realities.
- Define assembly processes, assign components to kits, and prepare documentation for factory operators.
- Verify production plans and release readiness for all modules.
- Troubleshoot factory floor issues such as framing quality, alignment, and tolerance stackups.
- Manage the creation of mockups and first-article builds.
- Provide on-site support during module installation and final assembly.
- Translate manufacturer specifications into actionable instructions for the production team.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in construction, such as framing or carpentry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawing sets.
- Experience with CAD or BIM software like Revit or Onshape, or a strong willingness to learn these tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively across different departments including architecture, engineering, and construction.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on documentation and follow-through.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience with MEP trades.
- Background working in a prefab, shop, or factory environment.
