Reddit seeks a Staff Product Designer to enhance how users discover, engage with, and return to the platform. This role involves translating complex user behaviors into intuitive engagement systems and contributing to the product strategy for growth initiatives.

What you'll do

• Define clear design strategies and phased plans for broad business challenges within the Growth portfolio.
• Lead the end-to-end design process for growth initiatives, influencing broader engagement systems.
• Develop high-impact user experiences across Reddit-owned and partner platforms, ensuring consistent quality and strategic alignment.
• Create functional, high-fidelity prototypes using tools like Cursor with real data to validate complex ideas.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design leadership to influence priorities and connect experimentation to long-term product vision.
• Present design concepts and recommendations to senior leadership, supported by data, product judgment, and design intuition.
• Maintain high design standards and contribute to organizational growth through reusable patterns and new components.
• Synthesize data, user behavior, and experiment results into clear narratives for executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of product design experience, with a focus on growth, platform, or large-scale consumer technology.
• Demonstrated ability to operate at a Staff level, driving impact across multiple teams and influencing product direction.
• Proficient in prototyping with code, using tools such as Cursor, and believing in building to test ideas.
• A strong portfolio showcasing design mastery, systems thinking, and measurable impact on growth metrics.
• Experience working in environments with rapid iteration, A/B testing, and data-driven decision-making.
• Exceptional skills in storytelling, writing, and presentations to communicate complex ideas to senior audiences.
• Strong judgment and leadership presence to navigate complexity, create clarity, and influence cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-velocity experimentation and identifying systems and patterns that unlock growth.

Practical notes

• Salary Range: $194,600 - $272,400 USD
• Eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units.
