About the role
Reddit is seeking a Staff People Integrations Engineer to manage, maintain, and expand the connections between Workday and our growing suite of People technology tools. This role ensures that crucial employee, candidate, and workforce data flows securely and efficiently across all People systems.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the performance, upkeep, and evolution of Workday integrations and the broader People technology ecosystem.
- Develop and support various Workday integration methods, including Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, APIs, and web services.
- Build and maintain connections between Workday and other People systems, designing scalable solutions for future growth.
- Create and implement automated processes to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.
- Manage the entire integration lifecycle, from gathering requirements and designing solutions to building, testing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting them.
- Establish and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures for integrations.
- Support advanced Workday configurations, including business processes, calculated fields, and security settings.
- Design and maintain complex Workday reports and data extracts for operational and analytical needs.
- Collaborate with People Product Managers to translate business needs into effective Workday solutions.
- Evaluate new People technologies and assess their integration feasibility and data flow implications.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of People data pipelines for analytics and AI-driven workflows.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, building, maintaining, and troubleshooting Workday integrations within People Technology or enterprise systems.
- Extensive experience with Workday integration tools such as Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, APIs, and web services.
- Proficient in Workday calculated fields, advanced reporting, integration configuration, business processes, and security concepts.
- Experience developing and supporting complex Workday reports, dashboards, and data extracts.
- Experience integrating Workday with systems for recruiting, identity management, contingent workforce, learning, performance, or engagement.
- Strong understanding of APIs, REST and SOAP web services, authentication, integration security, data mapping, and monitoring.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills for integrations, configuration, reporting, and security issues.
- Ability to lead technical projects independently from start to finish.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Capacity to balance technical requirements with business needs in a dynamic environment.
Nice to have
- Workday Integration Certification.
- Workday Pro certification in HCM or related areas.
- Experience with Workday Extend, Prism, or BIRT reporting.
- Familiarity with workflow automation or iPaaS tools like Workato or Tines.
- Experience supporting SOX controls, access reviews, or audit processes.
- Experience with SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, cloud data warehouses, and data pipelines, particularly with analytics platforms like OneModel.
- Interest in expanding People Platform ownership of data engineering, analytics integrations, and AI workflows.
- Prior experience in a public or high-growth technology company.
