Machine Learning Systems Engineer, Ads ML Platform
Job description
Machine Learning Systems Engineer, Ads ML Platform
About the role
This position focuses on developing the foundational infrastructure that powers Reddit's advertising machine learning capabilities. You will contribute to building systems that enable efficient creation, management, and utilization of features and training datasets for ML models. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys constructing reliable data systems and developer tools rather than pure model development.

What you'll do
- Construct data infrastructure to handle large-scale computation, transformation, and storage of features and training sets.
- Create frameworks for batch and real-time feature processing, prioritizing dependability, scalability, and user-friendliness.
- Implement platform features for managing features, including tracking their origin, validating them, detecting changes, monitoring for unusual patterns, ensuring reproducibility, and managing versions.
- Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate feature engineering processes into production ML systems.
- Develop systems that support automated ML processes, such as discovering features, assessing their quality, and managing their lifecycle.
- Enhance operational efficiency through improved observability, performance tuning, reliability engineering, and cost management.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data infrastructure, platform engineering, or ML infrastructure.
- Proven experience building production services, data pipelines, APIs, workflow systems, or tools for developers.
