Director, Technology FP&A

About the role

Reddit seeks a strategic and analytical finance leader to partner with our Engineering organization. This role will provide financial guidance, drive resource planning, and ensure alignment between business needs and the company's financial plan. You will be a key advisor, owning financial processes for global technology decisions and collaborating across departments.

What you'll do

• Guide Engineering leadership with financial modeling for strategic decisions, investment prioritization, and ROI analysis.
• Develop a deep understanding of engineering challenges and priorities, aligning them with long-term financial forecasts.
• Own the financial forecast, annual operating plan, budget tracking, and long-range plan for technology, providing actionable insights on productivity, cost optimization, and capital expenditures.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators for cloud hosting agreements, working with engineers to optimize workloads and costs in a dual-cloud environment.
• Lead strategic projects with program management and engineering to achieve efficiencies and deliver expected returns.
• Prepare comprehensive financial models and presentations to support business decisions and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field. An MBA or CPA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 13 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
• At least 2 years of experience specifically supporting cloud infrastructure and cloud cost analysis.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team.
• Demonstrated experience with AWS or GCP cloud products.
• Previous experience in investment banking or consulting is required.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and margin drivers.
• Proven ability to lead planning and forecasting processes, manage large datasets, and build sophisticated financial models.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for presentations and deck creation.
• Ability to think strategically, demonstrate leadership, and provide insightful guidance.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive projects to completion.
• Proven success in meeting deadlines while managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

• Base salary range: $245,800 - $344,100 USD.
• Eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units.
