What you'll do

• Shape the long-term data science strategy for ad measurement, signal quality, identity, attribution, and privacy.
• Develop rigorous frameworks to validate lift, attribution, identity accuracy, modeled conversions, and privacy-safe measurement.
• Advance large-scale experimentation and causal inference methodologies for various lift studies.
• Quantify the impact of signal quality, identity resolution, and privacy changes on key advertiser metrics.
• Lead the development of privacy-first measurement approaches to position Reddit as a leader in trusted advertising.
• Establish reusable methodologies, dashboards, and best practices for the Ads Data Science team.
• Collaborate with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Legal to influence roadmap decisions.
• Mentor other data scientists and elevate technical standards within the organization.

Requirements

• An advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Physics, or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of industry experience in data science, applied science, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Extensive expertise in ad measurement, experimentation, causal inference, attribution, or ad optimization.
• A proven history of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with demonstrable business impact.
• Strong command of statistical modeling, experimental design, causal inference, and measurement principles.
• Experience defining metrics, evaluation frameworks, and decision systems for sophisticated products.
• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic long-term vision with hands-on execution of technical challenges.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and either Python or R.
• Skill in influencing senior leaders through clear technical judgment and effective communication.
• Experience mentoring senior individual contributors and improving technical standards across a data science team.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize AI tools to enhance personal productivity and prototype complex methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with ad identity, conversion modeling, signal loss recovery, or identity graph evaluation.
• Experience with lift measurement, incrementality testing, MMM, MTA, or third-party measurement partnerships.
• Experience working with privacy-constrained measurement, clean rooms, or consent-aware systems.
• Experience partnering with machine learning or ranking teams to link measurement quality to optimization outcomes.
• Familiarity with two-sided marketplaces, auction systems, or performance advertising.
• Experience building organizational frameworks, training programs, or methodology standards.

Practical notes

• Base salary range: $232,500 - $325,500 USD.
• Eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units.
• May be eligible for commission depending on the specific role.
