Director of Financial Services
Red Badger seeks a Director of Financial Services to own the complete financial services journey from intake to partners. This role creates conditions where trust, clarity, and durable client outcomes shape daily work. Your decisions will align revenue growth with client satisfaction inside complex regulated environments.
The position operates from London. Engagement requires in person presence two days each week at client offices or Red Badger HQ. Compensation ranges from £110,000 to £120,000 per year. Immediate interviews are available.
About the role
You will set strategic direction for financial services offerings that respond to market demand. You will champion intake workflows that convert stakeholder needs into clear scope and resilient plans. Designing build phase structures will ensure teams deliver compliant, testable financial service components on schedule.
You will guide review rituals that surface risk, validate assumptions, and refine delivery before public release. Orchestrating ship activities will coordinate deployment, monitoring, and rollback readiness for financial products. Forging partner ecosystems will connect data, compliance, and operations teams around shared outcomes.
Translating regulatory constraints into practical rules will enable engineering teams to move quickly without compromise. Owning portfolio performance metrics will reveal growth levers, friction points, and client health signals. Chartering cross-functional councils will align priorities, resolve conflicts, and sustain momentum across engagements.
You will champion continuous improvement by capturing lessons and evolving playbooks for future initiatives. This role requires ownership of outcomes and the ability to act as a trusted advisor throughout client engagements.
Key responsibilities
You will lead new business development and help retain and grow existing accounts. Leading proposals and pitches for new business will be a core expectation. You will be the primary point of contact for each client within your portfolio.
Collaborating and consulting with clients will support their strategy and long term roadmaps. Taking ownership for the delivery of client outcomes will remain your responsibility. You will advocate for client objectives within Red Badger while working in partnership with Discipline Leads and senior practitioners.
Engagement planning for each account will ensure the senior delivery team remain alive to risks and opportunities. Maintaining and monitoring client satisfaction will drive account retention. Identifying new opportunities within client accounts will directly drive revenue growth.
You will plan and forecast revenue to achieve portfolio goals and business development objectives. Constructing and closing on profitable deals will occur in partnership with the Finance team. Navigating procurement processes and contractual negotiations will involve the Commercial Director and legal counsel.
Providing strategic advice and or account management in a part billable role will apply to clients within your portfolio. You will ensure Red Badger delivers the right outcomes for clients at every stage of their journey.
About you
You bring deep experience delivering new financial products or transforming financial services under pressure. You hold at least 2 years experience guiding delivery for regulated services in production environments. You communicate clearly with executives, engineers, and legal teams while maintaining strict confidentiality.
You operate comfortably with ambiguity, setting direction when information is partial and stakes are high. You are empathetic and humble, able to identify with stakeholder challenges while pursuing mutually beneficial outcomes. You are entrepreneurial and driven to seek out commercial opportunities.

Experience working with RegTech, KYC, or transaction monitoring platforms is valued.
