Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Read AI is building intelligence into meetings, emails, and messaging to improve team productivity. We are looking for a senior engineer to join our Growth team and lead the development of our experimentation infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Develop and scale systems that support company-wide A/B testing and experimentation.
• Increase the reliability and speed of our testing cycles while reducing invalid results.
• Research and implement new data governance tools and technical standards.
• Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams to turn hypotheses into measurable features.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Identify and fix complex issues within the experimentation stack.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/React and Python/FastAPI or similar technology stacks.
• Practical experience designing or managing experimentation and A/B testing systems.
• Ability to write SQL and analyze product data.
• Proven ability to own systems from initial design through to production.
• Experience mentoring other software engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience building feature-flagging or experimentation infrastructure from the ground up.
• Background in product analytics or growth-focused engineering.
• Knowledge of metric definition frameworks and data governance.
• Previous experience working in a high-growth startup.
