This role involves managing the end-to-end development of prestige beauty packaging to ensure it meets high standards for quality, design, and regulatory compliance. You will serve as a brand steward, balancing creative vision with technical feasibility, cost targets, and global sustainability goals.

What you'll do

• Evaluate package concepts for manufacturability, tooling costs, development timelines, and sustainability compliance.
• Engineer packaging components and assemblies, ensuring formula compatibility and functional reliability.
• Manage projects from initial feasibility through to line validation trials, including FMEA execution.
• Coordinate with suppliers, marketing, R&D, and commercialization engineering to align on project requirements.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate component performance and safety.
• Maintain detailed project schedules, proactively identifying risks and communicating mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
• Create clear technical drawings and documentation to define packaging specifications.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in cosmetic package development.
• Specific expertise in the prestige beauty industry, with a focus on the fragrance category.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), timeline management software, and Unique Package Definition Systems.
• Technical ability to analyze 2D and 3D geometric objects, including fit, finish, and component clearances.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, extrusion, metal forming, and glass forming.
• Understanding of dispensing systems, including pumps and airless technology.
• Experience with folding carton and rigid box design, as well as various decoration techniques for primary and secondary packaging.
