About the role
This role involves working directly with customers to implement financial solutions and integrate Ramp with their existing systems. You will serve as a technical expert, bridging the gap between customer needs and Ramp's product capabilities, especially for large organizations using Workday. Your contributions will directly influence Ramp's product development by providing customer feedback to internal teams.

What you'll do
- Be the main technical contact for Enterprise and Strategic Enterprise clients using Workday, assisting complex customers with multiple entities and global financial setups.
- Advise customers and Ramp teams on technical aspects, guiding Workday integration, configuration, and system design for high-value projects.
- Collaborate with Customer Activation and Account Management to assess needs and propose scalable solutions using Workday Finance & Operations, HRIS, and APIs.
- Support onboarding specialists and implementation leads on technical tasks to speed up customer value and success.
- Help customers resolve technical issues and suggest product implementations, leveraging your understanding of Workday integration and configuration.
- Conduct technical discovery to understand Workday environments and recommend Ramp architecture, including API usage.
- Act as an expert on Workday and Ramp's accounting integration, advocating for development based on customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot Workday integration problems and guide customers through complex configuration decisions.
- Create internal documentation and tools to improve Ramp's support for Workday integration across a growing customer base.
- Influence Ramp's product roadmap by sharing Workday customer feedback with Product and Engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or a related field.
- 4+ years in technical consulting, solutions engineering, implementation, or a similar customer-facing technical role, preferably in SaaS or fintech.
- 3+ years of direct experience with Workday, including integration patterns and enterprise deployment.
- Deep knowledge of Workday finance and accounting workflows, such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, financial dimensions, and legal entity structures.
- Ability to work with APIs, integration logic, and system architecture, and explain these concepts to finance and operations stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design on enterprise-driven gaps, influencing roadmap decisions for large customers.
- Advise on non-standard Workday implementations and edge cases, balancing customer needs with platform scalability.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical solutions into business value and guide customers.
- Collaborative mindset for working cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering.
- Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills, with a focus on action and ownership.
- Adaptable and resourceful in ambiguous, fast-paced environments as Ramp expands its upmarket presence.
