About the role

Quince is looking for a Sourcing Manager to lead the Hard Home category, which covers durable home furnishings and fixtures for the modern household. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy and supplier relationships, driving the selection and procurement of hard home goods for the marketplace. The Sourcing Manager will own the end-to-end sourcing process, from identifying new suppliers to negotiating favorable terms and ensuring product quality meets the platform's standards. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires close collaboration with the product, design, and operations teams to build a curated catalog of hard home products. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in home goods sourcing and a track record of scaling supplier networks in a fast-paced marketplace environment. You will play a critical role in shaping the Hard Home assortment, ensuring that Quince offers a compelling and differentiated selection of products to its customers. Reporting structures and cross-functional dependencies will be a key part of the day-to-day responsibilities, requiring strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence decisions across teams.

What you'll do

Identify and evaluate new suppliers for hard home products including furniture, lighting, and decorative fixtures across multiple geographies.

Build and maintain a diversified supplier base that balances cost efficiency with product quality and reliability over time.

Negotiate pricing structures, minimum order quantities, and delivery timelines with manufacturing partners and intermediaries.

Conduct factory audits and quality assessments to ensure sourced products consistently meet Quince's established standards.

Collaborate with the product team to define assortment strategy, seasonal trends, and category growth plans for Hard Home.

Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer demand data to inform strategic sourcing decisions and priorities.

Manage the full product onboarding process from initial sample approval through final listing and launch on the platform.

Own key performance indicators related to supplier reliability, product defect rates, and margin targets for the category.

Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of sourced hard home products.

Develop long-term sourcing strategies and supplier development programs that align with Quince's growth objectives for the Hard Home vertical.

Requirements

Proven experience of 5 or more years in sourcing, procurement, or vendor management within home goods or a closely related industry.

Strong understanding of hard home product categories such as furniture, lighting, fixtures, and decorative accessories with attention to material quality.

Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex contracts and manage supplier relationships at scale across domestic and international markets.

Experience conducting factory audits, quality control processes, and compliance checks in manufacturing environments.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills for managing cross-border supplier interactions effectively.

Nice to have

Prior experience working with manufacturers in India or Southeast Asia for home goods and furnishings.

Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online marketplace operations, including product listing and catalog management.

Knowledge of sustainable or ethically sourced home products and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.

Experience using procurement software or ERP systems for supplier management, order tracking, and performance monitoring.

Skills & tools

Proficiency in supplier negotiation, contract management, and the development of long-term partnership agreements.

Ability to analyze sales data, seasonal trends, and market intelligence to guide sourcing strategy and decisions.

Experience with product quality evaluation, standards compliance, and continuous improvement processes in manufacturing.

Strong project management skills for managing multiple supplier relationships and sourcing initiatives simultaneously.

Familiarity with sourcing tools such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar procurement and vendor management platforms.

Excellent organizational and cross-functional communication abilities to coordinate across product, design, operations, and finance teams.

Practical notes

This role is based in Gurgaon and requires regular on-site presence at the Quince office.

The Sourcing Manager will report to the Head of Category or a similar leadership role within the Hard Home team.

Travel to supplier locations, trade shows, and industry events may be required as part of the sourcing strategy.

Candidates should be prepared to work closely with cross-functional teams including product design, marketing, and operations on a regular basis.
