About the role
Quartermaster, a U.S. maritime technology firm, is expanding its safety and connectivity systems across the Arabian Gulf. This role involves leading regional growth by securing agreements with vessel operators and accelerating regulatory approvals. You will be the primary regional representative, reporting to U.S. leadership.

What you'll do
- Secure agreements with vessel owners and operators throughout the region to install equipment on their fleets.
- Oversee multi-country operations, including installations, field teams, logistics, and local partnerships.
- Engage with maritime and port authorities across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman to expedite approvals.
Requirements
- Reside in the Gulf region and be prepared for extensive travel across the GCC.
- Possess a senior reputation within the Gulf's domestic maritime industry, with established relationships among vessel owners and operators in multiple countries.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to finalize commercial agreements, overcoming objections and obstacles.
- Have practical knowledge of maritime regulatory frameworks in Gulf states and the credibility to navigate them.
- Be fluent in both English and Arabic.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in additional regional languages such as Urdu, Hindi, Tagalog, or Farsi.
- Existing relationships with maritime regulatory bodies across the region, including specific authorities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman.
- Experience guiding vessels through approval processes with any of these regulatory bodies.
- Membership or standing in regional maritime industry organizations.
