About the role

Qualtrics is seeking a lead data scientist to join the Semantic Substrate Incubation team. You will build an Identity-Anchored World Model to transform event logs into a concept-linked graph, enabling LLMs to interpret complex enterprise data and drive autonomous agentic decisions.

What you'll do

• Lead the discovery and mapping of raw event logs to Vertical Ontologies.
• Improve AI accuracy by 60 percent by designing a Concept Graph that utilizes verified profile IDs.
• Develop logic for Reward Signal Extraction and Context-Aware actioning to infer KPIs from interaction logs.
• Decrease agentic action risk by 40 percent using Off-Policy Evaluation and action-conditional world models.
• Create automated systems to handle 80 percent of context mapping without manual intervention.

Requirements

• Approximately 10 plus years of professional data science experience.
• Deep technical proficiency in graph databases, specifically AWS Neptune and SPARQL.
• Extensive experience with Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala) for distributed data processing and ETL optimization.
• Practical experience building applications with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar agentic workflows.
• Hands-on backend and infrastructure skills using Python and the AWS ecosystem (EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform).
