About the role
Protolabs is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our digital manufacturing team in Nashua. You will be responsible for upholding our production standards by verifying product specifications throughout the manufacturing process.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Verify that products align with customer prints, job documentation, and specifications including dimensions, surface finishes, and material types.
- Conduct first piece, in-process, and final inspections.
- Document inspection data and maintain accurate records.
- Generate non-conformance reports for items needing rework or remakes.
- Complete first article inspection reports as requested by clients.
- Keep the workspace organized and ensure all tools are stored correctly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and plant regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to interpret printed and digital instructions.
- Proficiency with measuring tools like calipers and scales.
- Capability to perform basic arithmetic and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to operate a computer and calculator.
- Comfort working with sharp tools such as utility knives and pliers.
- Strong attendance record and punctuality.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 70 pounds.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working in a CNC machining setting.

Practical notes
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm with a $2.40 shift differential.
- ITAR compliance: This position is restricted to U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, or individuals with refugee or asylee status. Holders of temporary visas such as E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J, TN, or OPT are ineligible.
- Environment: You will work primarily in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and occasional outdoor conditions. Safety shoes and eye protection are required.
