About the role
Protolabs is seeking a professional to join our digital manufacturing team in Maple Plain. You will manage account portfolios and ensure high-quality service delivery by coordinating across internal departments and external stakeholders.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage a portfolio of accounts by building relationships with buyers, engineers, and supply chain partners.
- Track active orders and coordinate with quality, logistics, and operations teams to hit service level agreements.
- Identify and mitigate risks to prevent customer service obstacles.
- Collaborate with account owners to support client meetings and monitor project trends.
- Create process documentation and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
- Resolve customer quality concerns and nonconformance issues.
- Oversee project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of experience in B2B account management, inside sales, or customer success within a fast-paced environment.
- Background in technical services or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and techniques.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and think strategically.
- Capability to build relationships with internal and external partners.
Nice to have
- BA or BS degree or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of digital manufacturing, industrial supply chains, CNC, injection molding, sheet metal, or 3D printing.
- Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or Freshdesk.

Practical notes
- This role is restricted to U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, or individuals with refugee or asylee status due to ITAR compliance. Temporary visa holders are not eligible.
- Compensation includes a competitive salary and an annual bonus.
