About the role
Protolabs is seeking a dedicated individual to manage the flow of raw materials and finished goods within our digital manufacturing facility. You will play a vital role in keeping our production lines supplied and organized to ensure efficient operations.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Operate a forklift to move materials throughout the shop floor.
- Receive, measure, and count incoming shipments.
- Organize and store inventory in stock prep areas and shelving.
- Scan and attach material certifications to digital job folders.
- Prepare and deliver materials specifically for CNC milling stations.
- Load and unload trailers.
- Weigh and manage scrap bins for collection.
- Cut raw stock materials for production use.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving.
- Minimum 1 year of forklift experience with current certification.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and use SolidWorks and Mastercam.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
Nice to have
- Prior experience with inventory control.
- Knowledge of machining within a prototype manufacturing setting.
