About the role
Protolabs is looking for a Senior Indirect Buyer to manage sourcing and procurement for non-production goods and services throughout the EMEA region. This position involves setting supplier strategy, overseeing contract governance, and optimizing costs while maintaining alignment with global procurement standards.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle for indirect categories such as software, professional services, and facilities.
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions to balance service quality, risk, and cost.
- Create and implement supplier strategies that reflect regional market conditions and business requirements.
- Serve as the main point of contact for indirect procurement in EMEA, ensuring regional activities align with global objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into effective sourcing plans.
- Monitor compliance with financial controls and procurement policies.
- Identify and execute process improvements to support scalable global procurement practices.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external partners to ensure operational needs are met.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, with a focus on indirect spend.
- Proven ability to manage projects, work independently, and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiation and stakeholder management.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
