About the role
This position involves guiding technology initiatives that support critical corporate functions. You will be instrumental in ensuring that IT solutions align with and advance the company's strategic objectives.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Act as the primary product representative for IT teams serving Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, and other administrative departments.
- Collaborate with business partners and other technology groups to establish priorities, develop strategic plans, and ensure project delivery meets business goals.
- Oversee and organize the product backlog to deliver maximum business value and support organizational aims.
- Work with stakeholders and IT colleagues to define project requirements, acceptance standards, testing approaches, and deployment schedules.
- Coordinate with IT Planning Managers, Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, and business stakeholders to refine, prioritize, and execute work.
- Facilitate clear communication between business units and technology teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, releases, potential risks, and key decisions.
- Drive improvements in business processes, operational effectiveness, reporting capabilities, and system features.
- Promote Agile practices and product ownership principles, offering guidance and expertise.
- Track project results, stakeholder satisfaction, and business risks.
- Document all work within Azure DevOps according to established guidelines.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is necessary.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or comparable role.
- Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or other Corporate Systems functions is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting, financial operations, and related business processes is highly desirable.
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
- A solid understanding of Agile development methods, backlog management, requirements analysis, and stakeholder interaction.
- The ability to manage competing demands and balance immediate needs with long-term business goals.
- Demonstrated capacity for sound decision-making, assessing complex situations, and navigating ambiguity.
- The skill to influence results and build agreement among various stakeholder groups without direct authority.
- Strong abilities in communication, facilitation, relationship building, and problem resolution.
- Experience in translating business requirements into effective technology solutions.
- The ability to perform effectively in intricate environments with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and evolving business needs.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of accounting, financial operations, and related business processes.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP platforms.
