- Create and implement a strategic plan to broaden the national reach of our distribution channels.

- Act as an internal expert on evolving distribution methods, technology-driven benefits systems, and partnership opportunities.
- Establish performance metrics to assess the success of partnerships, focusing on revenue, market share, and distribution expansion.
- Collaborate with internal leadership to ensure partnership efforts align with overall company strategy and sales goals.
- Monitor partner performance and seek ways to deepen relationships and increase revenue.
- Analyze the employee benefits distribution market to pinpoint valuable partnership prospects.
- Develop partnership strategies to increase access to broker networks, employers, and technology-driven enrollment systems.
- Structure large-scale partnership agreements that support our growth strategy and market position.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure operational readiness for new distribution channels.
- Build systems for partner onboarding, training, and ongoing relationship management.
- Launch initiatives that establish our company as a preferred partner in the employee benefits space.
- Continuously assess partnership effectiveness and identify opportunities for growth.
- Build strategic connections with national and regional General Agents (GAs) and wholesale distributors that influence broker channels.
- Design structured GA partnership models that define distribution commitments, compensation, and growth targets.
- Identify high-performing GAs who can extend our reach through broker networks and regional markets.
- Work with sales leadership to align GA partnerships with field distribution priorities and broker engagement strategies.
- Lead initiatives to position our company as a preferred carrier within GA distribution platforms.
- General Agent partnerships will significantly expand our access to broker networks by utilizing established wholesale distribution channels. By partnering with high-producing GAs who manage large broker populations, we can access new employer opportunities and accelerate premium growth in key markets. These partnerships will generate substantial incremental premium by increasing broker access, improving product visibility, and strengthening our presence within GA-led distribution systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related area.
- 8-12 years of experience in employee benefits, group insurance, strategic partnerships, or distribution strategy.
- Demonstrated success in creating and executing strategic partnerships within the employee benefits or insurance sectors.
- Solid understanding of broker distribution models, general agent networks, and benefits technology platforms.
- Proven ability to structure partnership agreements and achieve measurable business results.
- Experience working collaboratively with sales, product, and technology departments.
- Excellent skills in relationship management, negotiation, and executive-level communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with benefits administration platforms, HRIS systems, payroll providers, or rating and quoting tools.
- Familiarity with group disability insurance, paid family and medical leave, or supplemental insurance products.
- Experience supporting distribution models that utilize technology.
- Existing relationships within national brokerage firms or general agent networks.
- MBA or an advanced business degree.
