Key facts
What you'll do
- Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and document them as detailed functional requirements.
- Partner with development teams to transform these requirements into technical designs and solutions.
- Build strong relationships with business units to address enhancement requests and system issues.
- Investigate new technologies to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Validate user stories and confirm they meet all acceptance criteria, which may involve data analysis.
- Operate within an agile framework, adhering to sprint commitments and release timelines.
- Assist in defining the scope and objectives for system projects, evaluating feasibility and estimates.
- Manage and update critical system data elements and configurable applications, including rules and tables.
- Create user documentation and provide training on new or modified system functionalities.
- Guide and train team members on technology, best practices, and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar capacity.
- Demonstrated experience working with business units to define needs, conduct analysis, and document the impact of changes.
- Proven ability to collaborate with internal IT teams to design application solutions that align with customer needs and IT standards.
- Aptitude for learning new skills through research and persistence.
- Adaptability to a dynamic work environment and ability to perform under deadlines.
- Capacity to support multiple IT teams and projects concurrently.
- Ability to think creatively to propose innovative solutions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to initiate research and outreach to resolve issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Proven complex problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with a logical and systematic approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Willingness and capability to support change management efforts.
- Experience in mentoring others.
Nice to have
- Experience with Agile methodologies and transforming complex challenges into user stories.
- Familiarity with SQL, C#, or JavaScript.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Power Apps, NICE/Amelia, OpenText, Solimar, CMOD, Hyland OnBase, or Microsoft Power BI.
- Understanding of moderately complex data structures and database schemas.
