Senior Project Manager

This position focuses on guiding complex software implementations for customers. You will oversee the entire project lifecycle from sale completion through the initial post-launch support period. Your work will be crucial in ensuring successful product adoption and customer satisfaction.

What you'll do

• Lead the complete execution of customer software implementations, from initial handover to final launch and immediate post-launch support.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules, key dates, and required outcomes, ensuring alignment between internal teams and clients.
• Manage project governance, including tracking progress, reporting status, and communicating with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Identify and address project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing plans to mitigate them and drive their resolution.
• Oversee project budgets and scope, ensuring delivery within agreed commercial terms.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding project delivery, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication.
• Coordinate various internal teams, such as Solutions Architects, Engineering, Product, and Support, to ensure smooth project progression.
• Facilitate essential project meetings, including kick-offs, regular status updates, steering committees, and readiness reviews for launch.
• Support testing phases by coordinating timelines, participants, and deliverables.
• Plan and execute the product launch, including coordinating the transition and validating the system post-launch.
• Manage the initial post-launch support period, ensuring a smooth handover to the Customer Success team.
• Track project advancement using internal systems like Jira, Zendesk, or Rocketlane.
• Contribute to refining project management processes and delivery frameworks.
• Provide input on implementation feasibility and timelines during pre-sales discussions.

Requirements

• Fluency in both English and German, spoken and written.
• A minimum of 5 years in client-facing project management roles, ideally within supply chain technology, logistics, or SaaS product implementations.
• Demonstrated success managing intricate projects with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and tight deadlines.
• Strong capabilities in managing risks, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience using project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Comfort working in a dynamic, cross-functional, and global setting.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as required by customer needs.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in French, Spanish, or Italian is highly desirable.
• Prior experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or other supply chain software.
