About the role
Join the team at Planned Parenthood of Greater New York to deliver essential reproductive and sexual health services. You will support clinical operations by providing patient education, managing medical documentation, and assisting with direct care in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do
- Review and record patient health histories, alerting providers to critical symptoms or complaints.
- Document visits accurately in the electronic medical record system using required templates.
- Manage patient flow to reduce wait times and ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Perform laboratory tests, complete requisitions, and prepare samples for transport.
- Assist with abortion services, including counseling, room support, and float duties.
- Maintain clinic cleanliness, restock supplies, and handle opening or closing procedures.
- Provide non-judgmental patient education and facilitate informed consent.
- Coordinate interpreter services for patients with communication barriers.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and charge capture for all services provided.
- Participate in monthly training sessions and maintain clinical competencies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a high-stress or fast-paced work environment, preferably in healthcare.
- Proficiency with computers and phone systems.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Commitment to understanding and addressing the impact of racial inequity in the workplace.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
