Developer Marketer

About the role

PostHog is seeking a Developer Marketer to translate complex product developments into compelling launch strategies and growth initiatives. This role involves a blend of technical understanding and marketing expertise to drive adoption of our all-in-one devtool platform. You will have significant autonomy to shape how new product areas are introduced and succeed in the market.

What you'll do

• Lead go-to-market efforts for specific products, focusing on increasing usage and driving marketing initiatives.
• Manage product launches from conception to completion, including crafting narratives, writing announcements, and supporting post-launch adoption.
• Act as the primary voice of PostHog for engineers, ensuring effective communication and product reception within the developer community.
• Consistently deliver marketing outputs weekly, learning and adapting quickly based on results.
• Contribute to high-visibility projects such as product launches, pricing communications, and customer engagement programs.

Requirements

• Strong abilities in writing, research, and general communication.
• Extensive background in the AI sector, particularly with experience deploying agents.
• Practical development experience, which can include personal projects.
• Prior experience marketing to developers or writing for technical audiences.
• Proven track record in managing email campaigns, go-to-market campaigns, and sales enablement.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with or direct experience using devtool products.
• Previous roles in product marketing, growth marketing, or content marketing.
