About the role

This position focuses on connecting research, infrastructure, and product development to integrate autonomous agents throughout our Model Factory. You will be responsible for the tools and systems that support agentic research and the daily work of researchers.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Collaborate with researchers and infrastructure engineers to transform research processes into self-improving agent workflows.
• Develop backend services using Python and Go to support agent functionality.
• Encourage the use of agent-native research methodologies.
• Create evaluation frameworks and datasets to assess model self-improvement and drive internal development cycles.
• Integrate with current research infrastructure and build monitoring tools for adoption and usage.
• Contribute to the roadmap for agent harnesses and runtimes.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of backend architecture, API and database design, and operational best practices.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects involving multiple teams and align stakeholders on technical goals.
• Experience building agentic systems, skills, self-improvement loops, or significant harness engineering.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with machine learning research processes, including experiments, evaluations, training, checkpoints, configurations, datasets, and iteration.
• Experience with model training systems such as W&B, Neptune, or Dagster.
