Polymarket is seeking a Senior Investigation Analyst to safeguard the integrity of its prediction markets. This role involves comprehensive investigations into various market abuses and financial crimes. You will be instrumental in protecting the platform from illicit activities and ensuring fair trading.

What you'll do

• Conduct investigations into insider trading, coordinated wallet activity, and market manipulation from initial alert to documented findings.
• Analyze wallet activity, funding flows, and transaction histories using specialized tools to identify coordination.
• Review order-book manipulation, such as spoofing and layering, using trade surveillance tools and on-chain evidence.
• Assess and respond to legal requests and subpoenas, managing risks and meeting deadlines.
• Produce detailed investigative reports and findings suitable for review by leadership, law enforcement, or external legal counsel.
• Keep up-to-date on evolving manipulation and fraud patterns within prediction markets and the blockchain ecosystem.

Requirements

• 5 to 7 or more years of investigative experience in areas like trade surveillance, market regulation, blockchain forensics, financial crimes, or law enforcement, focusing on building cases from unclear evidence.
• Understanding of order-book mechanics and manipulation types (e.g., spoofing, layering, wash trading) or blockchain analysis and on-chain typologies; ideally both.
• Direct experience with blockchain analysis tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic) or trade-surveillance platforms (e.g., Eventus/Validus, Nasdaq SMARTS).
• Proven ability to construct a case from limited initial information and document it clearly for action.
• Strong judgment in evaluating and responding to legal and regulatory requests under strict deadlines.
• Comfortable working with ambiguous information, as many investigations will involve novel situations.

Nice to have

• Experience with prediction markets or other crypto-native platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL or Python for testing hypotheses against trade or on-chain data.
• Previous experience acting as a liaison for law enforcement or regulators.
