About the role
Pleo is expanding into a new business area, Pleo Embedded, which focuses on providing white-label spend management solutions to banks and technology partners. This role is a foundational Go-to-Market position within a small, agile team, emphasizing commercial outcomes over traditional marketing. You will be instrumental in defining how Pleo wins and grows with new partners.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage partner interactions from initial contact through to signed agreements, including proposals and commercial negotiations.
- Cultivate relationships with senior executives at major banks and platforms, utilizing your network and business development skills.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for key partners post-contract, overseeing implementation, revenue tracking, and quarterly business reviews.
- Refine Pleo Embedded's value proposition and communication strategies for banks and platform partners.
- Drive deals forward by supporting partners throughout the sales funnel, including responding to RFPs and engaging in commercial discussions.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop content, campaigns, and events that generate and nurture partner leads.
- Experiment with new approaches, learn quickly, and use AI tools to maximize efficiency.
- Provide market insights to product and commercial teams to ensure alignment in development and sales efforts.
Requirements
- 4-7 years of professional experience in consulting or startup environments, ideally with a diverse range of responsibilities.
- Proven experience managing relationships with senior clients, particularly in a consulting context.
- A balanced understanding of sales and marketing principles, with comfort in owning commercial results.
- Ability to handle varied tasks, from leading RFP responses to organizing partner events.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical products to non-technical audiences.
- A commercial mindset with strong numerical literacy.
- A self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, undefined situations.
- Capacity to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.

- Experience in fintech, SaaS, payments, embedded finance, or the SME sector.
