Modern Workplace Collaboration Consultant

This position supports significant projects that contribute to national interests. You will help clients improve their operational efficiency by focusing on modern collaboration tools.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Consult on, design, develop, configure, and implement solutions using SharePoint and other Microsoft platforms.
• Guide clients through business transformations enabled by the Microsoft Cloud, including Copilot.
• Advise on and implement strategies for SharePoint, Microsoft 365 Groups, OneDrive, and Teams, covering planning, deployment, security, and management.
• Migrate file shares, SharePoint sites, and cloud storage to Office 365.
• Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Manage and deliver multiple projects concurrently, addressing client needs proactively.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or at least 5 years of equivalent experience.
• Continuous learning and acquisition of relevant Microsoft certifications are necessary.
• Deep understanding of the Office 365 collaboration suite, including SharePoint, Microsoft 365 Groups, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, including native Office 365 modules and community modules like PnP.
• Experience with enterprise-scale systems on Microsoft technologies, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Proven ability to migrate data from file shares, SharePoint, and cloud repositories to Office 365.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, understanding their business objectives and workflows to recommend improvements in collaboration, productivity, and security.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must be comfortable with occasional travel.

Nice to have

• Experience in a technology consulting or software product company setting.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure platform, including Entra ID.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft VIVA suite.
• Experience with all phases of modern intranet development, from concept to deployment.

Practical notes

• Salary range: $120,000 - $210,000 annually.
• US Citizenship is required, and candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance requiring up to a 10-year background investigation.
