Key facts
What you'll do
- Create and maintain software for automotive infotainment, focusing on user interfaces, media playback, and connectivity.
- Implement software using C++ or Java on embedded Linux or Android Automotive.
- Work with designers and architects to turn requirements into working software.
- Develop and integrate software components, ensuring they function correctly and follow coding standards.
- Review code, conduct unit tests, and perform integration testing for quality assurance.
- Diagnose and fix software defects.
- Improve software performance for speed, stability, and efficient resource use.
- Participate in agile development ceremonies like sprint planning and daily meetings.
- Help make decisions about the technical direction of infotainment systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years in software development, with at least 4 years specifically in automotive infotainment or embedded systems.
- Strong command of C++ and/or Java, with a solid grasp of object-oriented design.
- Experience with embedded Linux, Android Automotive, or similar real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with HMI development tools and frameworks.
- Experience with Git and build systems.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven success working collaboratively in a remote team setting.
- Effective written and spoken communication skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of multimedia frameworks such as GStreamer.
- Understanding of connectivity protocols like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards.
