Key facts

What you'll do

• Create and maintain software for automotive infotainment, focusing on user interfaces, media playback, and connectivity.
• Implement software using C++ or Java on embedded Linux or Android Automotive.
• Work with designers and architects to turn requirements into working software.
• Develop and integrate software components, ensuring they function correctly and follow coding standards.
• Review code, conduct unit tests, and perform integration testing for quality assurance.
• Diagnose and fix software defects.
• Improve software performance for speed, stability, and efficient resource use.
• Participate in agile development ceremonies like sprint planning and daily meetings.
• Help make decisions about the technical direction of infotainment systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years in software development, with at least 4 years specifically in automotive infotainment or embedded systems.
• Strong command of C++ and/or Java, with a solid grasp of object-oriented design.
• Experience with embedded Linux, Android Automotive, or similar real-time operating systems.
• Familiarity with HMI development tools and frameworks.
• Experience with Git and build systems.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven success working collaboratively in a remote team setting.
• Effective written and spoken communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of multimedia frameworks such as GStreamer.
• Understanding of connectivity protocols like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
• Familiarity with automotive industry standards.
