About the role
The Product Manager will oversee the strategic growth and regulatory compliance of the First Aid and Emergency Eyewash product lines in the U.S. and Canada. This position involves leading category strategies, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring products meet all relevant regulatory standards. Collaboration with various teams is essential to deliver effective safety solutions that align with customer needs.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the First Aid and Eyewash product categories, integrating customer feedback, regulatory standards, and market trends to promote growth.
- Spearhead the creation of new first aid kits, eyewash stations, and related safety products, working with suppliers and engineering teams to ensure compliance and manufacturability.
- Ensure product compliance with U.S. and Canadian regulations, including ANSI/ISEA Z308.1 and Z358.1 standards, FDA OTC requirements, and Health Canada regulations.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from inception to discontinuation, ensuring timely development and market introduction.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to create effective go-to-market strategies, promotional content, and training resources for distributors and end-users.
- Work with global sourcing teams to maintain product quality and availability while managing inventory levels effectively.
- Analyze market data, sales trends, and inventory to inform pricing strategies and category direction.
- Act as a key advocate for the First Aid and Eyewash categories, aligning cross-functional teams around shared objectives.
- Engage with customers and market stakeholders through VoC programs, industry events, and field visits to enhance product adoption.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in first aid, emergency response, industrial safety, or PPE sectors.
- Knowledge of FDA OTC compliance and medical device regulations is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ANSI/ISEA Z308.1, ANSI/ISEA Z358.1, and Health Canada regulations or similar compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical and financial skills to drive profitability and growth in the product category.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with PLM or ERP systems such as SAP is a plus.
- Capability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a dynamic environment.

Practical notes
