About the role
PhonePe is seeking an engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our SRE Tools team. You will build and manage internal cloud infrastructure to support our massive transaction volume and diverse product ecosystem.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and design technical solutions.
- Build and support in-house cloud architecture components covering instance procurement, provisioning, patching, migration, and retirement.
- Manage solutions through the full lifecycle, from initial design and deployment to ongoing monitoring and maintenance.
- Develop scalable solutions for infrastructure challenges across the organization.
- Track and improve the compliance of implemented systems.
- Apply a DevOps mindset to all technical projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least two of the following: Rust, Go, or Python.
- Solid understanding of operating systems and current technology stacks.
- Proficiency in networking fundamentals and systems architecture.
- Experience with open-source technologies.
- Strong grasp of data structures and algorithms.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with cloud technologies.
- Experience with Mesos or KVM/QEMU.
- Knowledge of NodeJS or React.
