About the role
PhonePe is looking for an experienced SRE to manage the infrastructure supporting one of the largest fintech platforms in the world. You will focus on maintaining high availability and performance across our systems by applying technical expertise in Linux administration and networking.

What you'll do
- Manage and maintain the reliability of large-scale fintech infrastructure.
- Apply IT operations best practices to ensure continuous service availability.
- Participate in the team on-call rotation.
- Use automation and configuration management tools to streamline operations.
- Work with private cloud environments and open source technologies.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in Linux/Unix administration.
- Proficiency in computer networking, specifically IP, iptables, and IPsec.
- Experience managing MySQL databases.
- Scripting and coding skills in Python, Perl, or Golang.
- Hands-on experience with SaltStack for configuration management.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with KVM/QEMU for cloud services on Linux.
- Familiarity with container orchestration and data center operations.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases, specifically Aerospike.
- Experience with Galera cluster operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Perl and Golang.
- Working knowledge of MariaDB or Percona.
