Senior Manager - Ads Sales

About the role

This is a foundational leadership position focused on managing the profit and loss for advertising revenue across major Indian brands. You will design the initial framework for monetization on new platforms, including the Indus Appstore, while building and leading a high-performing sales team from the ground up.

What you'll do

• Manage the annual revenue mandate for large enterprise clients within the ecommerce, retail, D2C, food, travel, and AI sectors.
• Create and maintain long-term joint business plans with C-suite executives and media agency leaders.
• Drive ad adoption across the PhonePe consumer payments app, the Indus Appstore, and other external publishers.
• Develop go-to-market strategies, including product positioning and pricing models for enterprise clients.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate market feedback into scalable ad tech solutions for branding and performance marketing.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain a team of client partners and account managers.
• Foster a consultative sales environment focused on client ROI and data-driven growth.

Requirements

• 10 to 12 years of total professional experience.
• Minimum of 6 to 8 years of core digital ad sales experience within large industries.
• Proven history of managing revenue portfolios and achieving year-over-year growth.
• Experience building a business from zero to one, specifically regarding ad monetization or new product launches.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Indian digital marketing landscape, including programmatic buying, attribution, and app ecosystems.
• Established professional network with CMOs, brand heads, and leadership at major media agencies such as GroupM, Publicis, and IPG.
