About the role
PhonePe is seeking a Cluster Collections Manager to oversee collections operations in Mumbai. This role involves leading a team, managing delinquency rates, and implementing effective recovery strategies. You will ensure compliance and drive performance for your assigned portfolio.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead a team of Collection Executives and collaborate with external recovery agencies.
- Supervise, guide, and support your team to ensure they meet collection targets.
- Manage the collections process for your cluster, monitoring KPIs like resolution rates and delinquency buckets.
- Take responsibility for the portfolio's delinquency rates and the recovery of overdue payments.
- Develop and execute tailored collections strategies based on account types and portfolio health.
- Ensure strict adherence to collection processes, standard operating procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct daily monitoring and regular reviews of the delinquent portfolio.
- Prepare and present reports on cluster performance, challenges, and proposed solutions.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate.
- 5+ years of experience in collections.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a team lead or supervisory role.
- Strong ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Proactive and effective communication skills.

- Prior experience in a bank, new-age NBFC, or Fintech company.
