Cluster Collections Manager

About the role

PhonePe is looking for a dedicated manager to oversee collections operations within a specific cluster. You will guide a team and manage external agencies to ensure recovery targets are met while maintaining operational excellence.

What you'll do

• Direct a team of collection staff and coordinate with third-party recovery partners.
• Oversee performance metrics, including resolution rates and delinquency buckets.
• Manage portfolio delinquency and implement plans to lower roll rates.
• Create and apply collection strategies based on the specific needs of your cluster.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards and internal procedures.
• Monitor daily portfolio health and provide performance reports to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree.
• Minimum 5 years of total experience in collections.
• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Ability to perform under pressure and make sound decisions.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external agencies.

Nice to have

• Previous work experience in a bank, fintech company, or a new-age NBFC.
