About the role

PhonePe is seeking a Cluster Collections Manager to oversee recovery operations in Siliguri. You will manage a team of collection staff and coordinate with external agencies to maintain portfolio health. This role focuses on hitting recovery targets, managing delinquency rates, and ensuring full compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Supervise and mentor a team of Collection Executives while managing relationships with third-party recovery partners.
• Track and improve key performance indicators such as resolution rates and delinquency buckets.
• Take direct responsibility for the cluster portfolio to minimize roll rates and overdue payments.
• Design and implement localized collection strategies based on portfolio data and performance trends.
• Enforce standard operating procedures and regulatory compliance across all collection activities.
• Provide daily oversight of the delinquent portfolio and report performance metrics to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in collections.
• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Strong ability to lead, motivate, and coach staff.
• Proven decision-making capabilities and the ability to perform under pressure.
• Clear and proactive communication skills.
